lagexe
I have 6-6x9s I want to put on one channel, same box, same amp, same channel. 4-ohm each, all SVC (surprise surprise!). amp is 2ohm stable, I don't know if it's 8ohm stable. I would think, but it does not say. Thanks! EDIT: It is NOT 1ohm stable. Edited January 27, 2012 by lagexe
Guest
why on one channel? what amp are you using?
S15_Silvia
I would do this. 6x9 - 6x9 in SERIES, times three. (8Ω total impedance per pair) Pair 1 - Pair 2 - Pair 3 all in PARALLEL with each other. (2.67Ω final impedance if I did my math right ) Quote 2016 Subaru BRZ | Sony XAV-AX100 | Rockford Fosgate DSM 4080 & DSM 40ix | On 6/6/2012 at 6:32 PM, 'LZTYBRN' said: 3. lagexe
why on one channel? what amp are you using? This will be my rear sound, and at the moment if I can avoid buying another amp, I would very much like to do so. I just bought 3 more SSD 15"s, $200 of wire, and will be spending about $400 on XS/Auido Savings battery sale. Once again I set a budget and skull-Fked it. lol. My lady is gonna kill me It's my old Sony 600watt, I have the tweets on the other channel. lagexe
so you want 6x9s on 1 channel and your tweets on the other channel? Yes, sounds strange I know, but that amp is not meant for component speakers. Only one channel has a hpf, and I don't have enough for 12crossovers yet (similar setup in front). I love the clarity of this amp though. 100db Signal->Noise-Ratio and I bought it a while back.
