Need help on mids and highs

Well I have a 02 Civic Si that I'm wanting to upgrade my factory speaker system in. I have an Alpine IDA-X001 headunit and a JL Audio J2 320.4 Amplifier. Ive been doing a lot of research on Dayton Audio speakers, and for the price you cant beat it. Ive always messed around with Alpine, JL and Rockford highs but there products are just so damn expensive. Ill link a couple products Ive been looking at below. One of my big questions is what about crossovers? Don't you have to have them do match up the frequencies so mids are not overpowering highs and vise versa? I'm kinda new to the whole audio scene and any feedback would be awesome! Thanks!

Parts Express has some diamonds in the rough. However you need to cross them over either passively or active. A components set up will often give you a great drop in upgrade. Really do your research on the parts express speakera, Dayton is good but, to match a set correctly for a beginner is not easily achieved but you may get lucky. Other factors to is what sounds good to one doesnt always sound good to some one else. Bottom line your vehicle your budget do the best you can.
