i been running a saz3500, and used the dd-1, been set for over a year i beleive and still running strong, not to mention i got the 3500 used at db-r over 2 years ago. some people just want to point the finger at someone elese when shit goes wrong.

dont do it, if and when all goes bad you'll be out of subs wishing you hadn't done it at all, if you weremore experienced then i would say go for it. theres a rating on them for a reason, its so the average person knows when to stop, just becuase one person does it doesnt mean the next person should.

i have a v1.5 d2 and ran my saz3500 to it at 4ohm (rated 750 watts at 4ohms ) handled it fine, box is around .65 tuned to 35hz.

Are you checking head unit distortion through the deck or through the amp?
