Robert8252 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 I wouldn't tune that low. Just what I would do. 4.5 net 50inches of port area tune to 33 maybe. should do ok. When they say 4 inch port it is referring to a aero port or pvc port. which can be affective differently from a square or rectangle port. Joe X Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Your design is correct but I really don't like those drivers, will peak around 50Hz despite the low tuning. build that gigantic box for 250W RMS is insane. Using the vent Mach method for port area it gives 0.07, most of the times you want it to be below 0.05 no big deal though. Put you efforts where they pay off get some decent drivers.
dfarres Posted February 1, 2012 Author Report Posted February 1, 2012 I know my equipment isn't the greatest but I never have the money to upgrade. Besides, I have 7 sheets of wood in my garage that are in my way so I thought I would just try something different than my sealed box.
