wheres the flex at Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Just picked up a HDC318-A that was used and got a recone about 5-6 months ago, but its been sitting in a shop for 3 monthes. Do I just need to slowly give it juice or is it plug and play at full tilt? Its going in a 6.5cf box, with a Rockford Fasgate T1500-1bdCP I'm going to be running it at 2 ohms for the time being. I think that's safe 1549 Watts x 1 @ 2-Ohms 2001 Nissan Frontier3/5 drop ''Gutted" Underconstruction If you don't let your unborn swim in her mouth someone else will.

wheres the flex at Posted February 2, 2012 Author Report Posted February 2, 2012 I belive its the older basket style, but it has the newer recone. Does that make sense? and its dual 1ohm aluminum coils. 2001 Nissan Frontier3/5 drop ''Gutted" Underconstruction If you don't let your unborn swim in her mouth someone else will.
mlstrass Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 AQ recommends no full volume/low notes for the first few days, so the spider pack can take a set. I've always followed this practice and have never had a problem. Others don't and seem to be fine also...
wheres the flex at Posted February 2, 2012 Author Report Posted February 2, 2012 okay I have it wired at 1ohm right now but the amp is bridged so she's only getting 850ish on each coil. then next week I'm giving it full power. 2001 Nissan Frontier3/5 drop ''Gutted" Underconstruction If you don't let your unborn swim in her mouth someone else will.
