afrakes
Bout to put a bass knob in my car. My amp gains and everything are perfect, just want to be able to turn them down and not hear all the bass sometimes. When I have the bass knob all the way on max, does that overrride my gain settings and turn my amp up higher than it should be, or does it just allow my amp to play up to but no more than my gain settings? Anything helpps, thanks! SmallTruk
It's generally recommended to set the knob at about the halfway point and then set the gains. Bust out the DD1....I'd do the gains again
RickyFriery97
Is it a "gain knob" or a bass boost knob What amp? I just use a PAC LC-1for a bass knob Quote 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer
baaudio
What I prefer is to use a PAC LC-1 it's a line level bass knob. Basically it interrupts the RCA signal. Therefore it will not cause any distortion by overriding your gains. Ive also noticed an increase in output using this instead. Bump4life
the more info you give us about your situation, the more we can help! bass knob vs gain knob is a big difference. also if the knob came with the amp versus the knob you buy seperately is a difference too. Just gives us all information you know so we don't have a power wire going to the negative again no offense i know we put it past us Quote Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. afrakes
No, just a control of loww pass filters and I can control whether its on or off, but I can't be anywhere in the middle... Bust out the DD1....I'd do the gains again i agree with this guy ^, the knob most of the time should never be turned up full tilt, the amp can, but after a certain point its just distortion, unless everything is set perfectly...
