Bored`N`Def
i was thinking of running 4 SA 8v2 on 2000w rms, i know that part is fine. where i have a question is on the box. i have a 2006 mitsubishi galant and the rear seat does not fold down. there is a hole in the center for the arm rest, and i was thinking of running my port through there into the cabin. either that or porting out the rear deck. which would be a better option? LoudBimmer
Or you can create 6th order with your trunk. Porting thru rear deck can give you a really nice score on TL.
TeamHT
I would assume porting through the deck would sound a bit better, but I would be interested in seeing a port firing through the space in the seats. Bored`N`Def
I would assume porting through the deck would sound a bit better, but I would be interested in seeing a port firing through the space in the seats. it seems less destructive to me to do it that way. make a snug fit beveled port that is even with the rear seat, or slightly recessed. Bored`N`Def
worth trying to come between the seats, or should i look at porting through deck?
BobbyG2
Hmm, my guess, 4th order through the back seat or 6th order through the deck. Both would work, probably neither would be much better than the other, so do which ever you would prefer. If you do the 4th order through the back seat make sure your magnets are in the ported section so you can make sure you can smell coil if your subs are getting hot. Not saying the 8's can't take the power, but since it is a little higher than RMS it would make for a good safety precaution.
