sprkn_ranger Posted February 12, 2012 Report Share Posted February 12, 2012 Well I just ordered a dc lvl 2 12 and am having a hard time figuring out Torres calc to get the numbers for a box. I really don't need a design, cause I can figure that out, I'm just having a hard time getting to the right box volume and port size. I'd like to have it tuned to around 35Hz, and I'm going to be putting around 600-700 watts to it. I have plenty of room to work with in my trunk (2007 Kia optima) for a single 12 and plan on sub back, port back. So what cubic foot after displacements should I shoot for and port size? Thanks! If I say 14" tall and up to 24 inches wide and however deep it needs to be. Oh and I'm going to kerf flare the port. Thanks man! Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 35.062 Hz Vb = 1.2 ft^3 Subwoofer Mounting = Flush Mounted External Height = 14.75 in External Width = 26.25 in External Depth = 12 in Port Width = 1 1/2 in Cut List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.
