Tc-1000

I have the 2 12" TC-1000s and i dont remember if they are 400RMS or if they are 600RMS and i no that the audiopulse bought out TC sounds or something like that...and the audiopulse epic subs all have the same specs as the TC-1000... but i thought that my 1000s were 600RMS but then others have said that they are only 400RMS. so idk.

AudioPulse is TC Sounds, its just that AudioPulse is dealer based and TC was internet based, Visitor can chime in on this

It depends.

They used to say on the TC site that you could run em hard on 400rms all day and they'd be bulletproof, BUT they were capable of more than that "as much as 1000 clean watts" is what it said.

Weather thats 1000rms/max they never said.

Of all the info I have gathered just before I decided to buy 4 TC 1000 12's would suggest they can take anywhere from 500-700rms daily and prolly a bit more for burps.

I'd say 500-600rms with a good clean amp (JL, Kicker, RF Power series, Older Phoenix Gold, RE, eD etc) would be fine. You can always email the Audio Pulse guys and see if they can clear it up.

For the record-My 4-12's are sitting in the boxes they came in and have seen zero watts from me yet.

I won't get to rebuild till summer at the earliest...AND IT'S KILLIN MEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Aight thanks!!! Rite now i am running them with 1 of the Alpine MRP-M650 and it is running 600RMS at 2ohms and i was thinkin bout gettin another one (1 for each sub) cause rite now they are only seeing 300RMS each and i want to get as much as i can out of them. so i was gonna get another amp so they would both be seeing 600RMS. so i came on here to find out if they would be able to take the 600RMS....that sucks you got 4 of em just sittin that would make me insane

The Planet Audio 8-10's would be fun and LOUD and the 2 HX2 15's would be fun too.

Everythign else just cheap fun stuff I picked to play with.

I would say go for it.

..as long as it's decent power.

I'd say that Alpine should work well just don't necc get your hopes up. Adding power isn't always gonna increase your output garaunteed. Sometimes it just makes things worse. If you can push a sub to its limits using LESS power you're generally better off. It will require less electrical from your batt/alt setup, it will put less HEAT into the voice coil, and be more cost efficient if you use less amps to get the same output.

In this case I would give it a try knowing those subs can take 600rms but it might not make a lick of difference on ur db score.

Aight i might try it ill just have to wait after x-mas when i have money again. but even if i dont like it i could always sell the amp to someone at school for a decent price.
