Whether the subs are wired "in-phase" or "out of phase" you will have the same amount of output UNLESS one speaker is out of phase with the other. Woofers don't just flex out. For instance, if you have a woofer moving at 10mm of cone travel, then the woofer is moving out from its rest position to 5mm of foward movment then it returns to its rest position and then goes rearward 5mm for a total of 10 mm of travel. A woofer does this 20 times a second to produce a 20 hz note and 50 times a second to produce a 50 hz note and so on. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Both should shoot out the same direction.... If just one wire is out of phase (dvc subs wired ser-parr) The cone reaction time will be slow, if its wired right, the cone reaction time from the battery will be very fast... POP Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg.
