DD-1 question/help

So got my dd1 yesterday set all my gains found out my head unit doesnt clip but my question is after all the gains are set is it ok to mess with the eqs on the deck and like the subwoffer lvl and such

Gain should be set with sub level at max. Xovers and such can be readjusted after setting gain.

You should max out everything that your going to before you set it up

I had the sub lvl maxed bass knob 3/4 eq flat loudness off

For some reason i just expected my gain to be higher right now it distorts at 1/4

All amps are different. Your getting RMS power. Anything more doesnt matter

if you RAISE EQ levels after using DD-1 you can clip/distort

if you are using the pioneer in your sig your sub level should be 0, not max

^that is unless he wants to be able to adjust sub level through the headunit right? In that case he should set it to whatever max he will put it at and then he can know he is safe at that point but not above...

Yeah im using the avic 920 bt guess i should go back and redo it then

^^ this. Ive been wondering the same thing. I've been having my eq set to were i like it prior to setting the gains. Another question is why not to use the "loudness" setting. I use it, prior to setting gains
