He is looking at $300 for box subs and amp, I will build him the box so subs and amp is what we are looking at. Since that is a bit low, I was looking around a 500-1k system. Possibly with a MB Quart or Hifionics rates amps, they are cheap and do rated. Only problem I am having is I can't figure out what subs I can get 2 12's for about $150. I would have loved to convince my buddy to get like 2 Fi-X on a good 500 watts or more, but Fi no longer sells them and I am not one for online used purchases. I wanted to get the Fi-X, for those that don't know, I think the 12 was around $110.
