CleanSierra
Hey guys, I've got my doors apart replacing all of my wire and was looking at my Kenwood 6.5 driver and was thinknig it MIGHT be time to change it up. I'm very happy with my RE audio silk tweets that are in the doors of my fullsize GMC Sierra(2003). I'm looking to get a little more coverage from the mids so there isn't a dead space in sound. Last time I had them hooked to power, I had them crossed over usually at 100 or 120 Hz to avoid bottoming out. I need something to fill in the gap between subs and mid-driver. Anyone have anything good that they might want to sell or suggest? I'm not in need of a set, as I said, I'm VERY happy with the clarity of the tweeters as it stands. Swordlordboy1234
the rules might ban us from suggesting certain products if we start talking about something vs something. Personally I'm a bang for the buck type of guy, so although there are things that might be better then my suggestion.. its pretty beastly for the price. Im going to be buying crescendo audio everything i can. 6.5's that are 150 rms for 25$ plus shipping..8's 200 rms 35 plus shipping... does it need to be more clear? Guest
so you just want straight up midbass drivers? not coaxials or component systems, correct?

CleanSierra
Kranny: Yes, I just need a 6.5 driver. I'm running passive crossovers where the tweets are crossed at 3500 Hz. I need the mid to pick up at 80 Hz preferably so I don't have a dead spot. Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. CleanSierra
How much are these Crescendos? And I'm NOT good enough to do Pro audio with phasing and on/off axis. My tweet is mounted 12" above the mid and 4" to the right on driver and passenger door. I'm not interested in testing and testing and redoing everything. Just wanted a 6.5 driver to drop in the same location as the current Kenwood. Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. Swordlordboy1234
I'm very familiar with your set up. I'm 20, my dad has a 2002 chevy HD 2500... as you may know gmc and chevy designs are almost exactly the same every year. The 6.5's should drop right in, and they are only 25$ each speaker plus shipping... unless you get 4 at the same time then its free shipping. However i would greatly recommend an amp on them as they are 150rms for the 6.5's. And a aftermarket head unit with 22rms per channel won't let them shine.
