audiofanaticz
SP4 is designed for bandpass iirc No, its not... Just because the QTS number fits a charismatic, it does not mean it is designed for bandpass boxes only. If that was the case it would say "ONLY USE THIS WOOFER IN BANDPASS ENCLOSURES" But it does not say that on Fis website nor other threads. Went thru this already with AMI and JD1102. A company that designs a woofer strictly for 1 box application is not going to be a very big seller. Perfect example, Digital Designs with the Z woofer which is strictly SPL oriented, while its the loudest single sub setup in the world, its not a top seller, nor do people only use them for spl. Seen a few people attempt to use them in musical applications. There are many people using woofers with the wrong qts in 4th orders. Look at Sanitarium using AQ HD3's in a 4th and 6th orders... Also Ray using a AA Mayhem in a 4th order... Both users have great results using a woofer without the qts being in 4th order only range like people keep assuming...
