Orion XTR PRO 15's box help!!

I'm looking to build a box for my subs. I want the box ported and I'm looking for spl. I mean I want the box to be loud. LOL. This will be my first time doing this so bare with me here.. the Box will be going in a 97 grand am. The space I have to work with is 38 width 17 height and 17-19 depth. I'm a noon at this LOL. This is a great website and I know you guys can tag along and help me. But as of right now I have a sealed box hittin 143.1 on the window. First time I metered it. Good?

i don't think you have enough room to run 2 15's. you've got a little more than 5 cubes before any displacements. and displacements will take up about 2 cubes give or take. that leaves you with 2 cubes per sub in the best case scenario.

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

i don't think you have enough room to run 2 15's. you've got a little more than 5 cubes before any displacements. and displacements will take up about 2 cubes give or take. that leaves you with 2 cubes per sub in the best case scenario.

I have 2 15's in there now. I had a ported box in there before but took it out and sold it cause my amp didnt have a subsonic filter to tune the port. Now that i have a amp that has a subsonic filter on it im looking to build a ported box just looking for a little help.

We don't have alot of neighbors so we can blast the stereo.

I checked orion's website and they recommend 3 cubic feet of airspace for each sub. since you have two, you would need 6 cubic feet AFTER displacements.

you don't even have 6 cubic feet BEFORE displacements, therefore you do not have enough airspace to run your 2 15's in a ported box.

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

unless you make the measurements bigger and build in the trunk.
