Custom amp rack

Recommended Posts

I am trying to get some ideas on making my amp rack... I have two sundown 3k amps and a sundown 100.4... I will have my battery rack centered in front of the bed (front of bed is on the right side of the pic)... I just need to figure out how I should make my amp rack to give it a clean look... If you have any ideas, post them up!

This is what I have to work with

Id set the 3k's at a 45 angle from the notch to the bed, have them about 2" or so away. Then betwen that gap and a few inches up about the 3k's make the rack for the 4 channel. 1/4 ply for 3k's and 1/8 ply for the 4 channel.

Make sense? If not Ill draw something up in paint.

And I do hope youre running plexi or a cover over the amps...haha

That looks really nice! you gonna have enough room to run the wires for both with that little spacing between them?

I have enough room but I think that I'm going to stack the 3k's just so I don't need to worry about crossing the RCA's with the power/ground. I'm still deciding on where I should ground the amplifiers... I dont know if I should ground it directly to the battery or to the frame/chasis
