Thinking of a major overhaul.... could use input

Here is my situation... Just ripped everything out of my car

I have all of this stuff : (Things in bold were not included in my last install)

• Two Sundown 1500d amps strapped at 2ohms
  
• DC Audio 175.4 amp
  
• MBquart onyx 60.4 amp
  
• Two XS power d2700's (have one under the hood and one in the rear, still want 1 more)
  
• JL audio crossover (about the size of an ipad and 3 inches thick)
  
• 18" dual 1 ohm Sundown audio nightshade v1
  
• 6ft^3 ported sub box
  

My previous install consisted of all of that, minus the MBquart amp and the crossover. (those two things were purchased for when i finally got to doing my doors) Now here is my problem... It was just UNREASONABLY tight. My car is a 2002 olds aurora, the trunk is not the biggest thing in the world, and my rear seats dont fold down, also because fitting an 18 in a trunk is a bitch, lol. Currently everything is stripped out because i had to change my port set-up on the box, and because im not sure if i want to put it ALL back in.

Im thinking i should sell the two sundown amps and get something like a DC 3.5k/crescendo 3500/AQ 3500 (to save space). Sell the d1 Nightshade and get a sub that can be wired to a final load of 1ohm, possibly a BTL or a new XL. And instead of using the MBquart amp just sell it and use the 175.4 for both mids and highs (once again, to save space).

I hope i explained good enough what im struggling with, basically i just cant make up my mind.

Should i sell the stuff, and reduce the # of amps i have?

Or should i just run one of the 1500's at .5 ohms, allowing me to keep the nightshade? (i know warranty is 1 ohm)

I plan on running PA mids/highs, will the 175.4 be enough for a nice front stage without using the MBquart for the tweeters?

Will switching from two 1500w amps to one ~3500w amp be easier or the same on my electrical?

I guess this really all boils down to simplicity, currently i have a ton of stuff crammed into a small place. I would like to make it more simple by reducing the number of things in that space, should i do it? haha

I think it would be far cheaper to spend a $100 on a recone for the nightshade then to sell it and buy a new sub because you will normaly lose when selling and rebuying

I have never done a recone, but given the circumstances I'm sure I could handle it

What odd tools and types of glue are generally used when you do a recone

Any input on my amp situation?

175.4 is a monster. itll power anything.

The fact that it's a monster is great, only issue I have is that dedicating 2 channels of that amp to tweeters seems like overkill, lol.

I currently have 4 crescendo super-tweets that I plan on putting in, and the mids are going to be 6or8 sundown neo pros.

What Would be the best way to wire that all up to the 175?

i would get the bass blockers for the crescendos they're like 8 bucks a piece. then just wire each of them to a pair of the sundowns.

just do it in parallel and you should be able to fit everything up together.

Can you link me to the bass blockers your talking about? Just doesn't seem as reliable as using a crossover.
