ipad headunit

so at the shop weve been installing an ipad for a customer. weve gotten everything done. amps dash piece, everything. but when we play music were getting horrible whine. were using the ipad to an audio contorl eq and lc1 for the volume. and the eq to mids amp and sub amp. weve tried almsot everything. noise filters new rcas better grounds but still have a whine when the ipad is on mute. mabey we missed something. hopin someone has an answer we can try out tommorow lol. btw its got a jbl 1000.4 and a orion 2500.D with an hcca 15 in it. hopefully itll be sick sounding but for now we need to fix the whine issue lol thanks

This might be something you have already tried, but maybe try moving your wires. Maybe not even have them installed, run them strait out of the vehicle and around, moving pieces one at a time. Sometimes rca's or power wires can get close enough to another signal line that just messes with it. Happened with my wideband sensor.

yea we literilly had the rcas out of the car lol and still ahd the problem. i might try better quality rcas but i doubt it will help that much. we always have problems with older bmws lol

Maybe try getting a ground loop isolator?

I will get a ground loop isolater today. But I think we're just gonna add a HU I'm the glove box and go through the aux see how that works

Take out the EQ. I've seen ppl have problems with them for whine. Just to see...
