What Pwr sup. would work to power a 3000w indoor/outdoor system? I plan on running 8-8ohm 15"subs wired down to 2ohm per 4 subs, 16-8ohm 6 1/2" wired at 2ohm per 4, and 4 professional stage horn tweets. Everything will be installed in four yard friendly (rolls on grass) towers. Gonna have a yard full of lovely BASS... Probably use it for an outdoor theater system for summer and fall..

My rca outs on my headunit recently burned out, and I want to run my ipad as my headunit. How would i set it up?

well I guess I had better at least write something.. Been trying to upload pics from my pc for an hour.. Finally decided to give up before I got pissed and decided to once again not post for my frankenstien budget build.. I will upload them to facebook and link them from there in my next post.. So here is the description of what I got so far.. Vehicle: 98 F-150 supercab long bed (ex service truck w/286k miles) Headunit: Kenwood cd/mp3/ipod (or ipad in my case) Speakers: 4 Kenwood 250w 5x8 3 ways and 2 Memphis 1" highs Bass: 2 650w Pioneer 10s in premade boxes connected into a mini side tower Amplifier: 1000w stated Sony 2/1 channel scoshe 6 gauge wiring and .5farad cap All equipment is atleast 2 years old and still managed 138.4db I have been collecting pieces from people for years trying to get a decent system together.. That said its still far from perfect.. I am a disabled stay at home dad and my truck is my wifes daily driver now so I cant afford any nice equipment like almost everybody on this forum.. I have only 2600 in the whole truck and 400 is the system everything is pieced together from different people selling their stuff to get new.. But what my system lacks in asthetics and power it makes it up with clarity and a surprising amount of bass.. As i sit here typing this my floors and windows are shaking, had to come in and use the laptop to post lol.. But anyways youll see what I mean by frankenstien once i get the pics uploaded.. Hopefully someone will nominate me so I can get a chance to win a real system .. pics will be on within the next 2hrs hopefully..

I use my yellow top for starting and audio. It turns the starter alot better, because the power stays constant instead of an initial burst and fade of starting batteries.. But as far as standalone audio batteries I believe the xs line is better.

But if I can't get anyone to do my bagging I'll ust build me a body kit and use the extra clearance to stuff some 22"s or something. Either way it'll be sweet. Especially when I finally get the 6 memphis's in the back. got one of the guys designing a ported for me but If it doesnt sound good I'm just gonna make a custom one off bandpass for all 6. I hope the fiberglass roof on the truck can take it. it already rolls with just one memphis 12". Have a great week guys.

Thanks all for the advice its much appreciated. I'm hanging up the task of bagging the grinder for now. I'm heading to Louisiana to help with the cleanup of BP's catstrophic mess. They shot down my idea to disconnect the broken section and putting a cap in its place using the existing flange. They said we are handling the situation and are in no need of outside assistance. I replied stating they were full of shit, and needed to stop trying ides from their 5yr olds and do what will really succeed. They rereplied it is none of my business how they handle the situation and that if I contacted them again I would be sent to prison. I re re'd them and said you have no jurisdiction and it was my business since I cant enjoy the beach because of their eco-terrorisim. I also said I would be filing a suit for harassment and if I saw one of their people in Louisiana Im going to punch them in the face. They didnt reply to that. LOL I guess they didnt like the eco-terrorist part. Anyways Later SMD forums. I should be back in 2 months.

slamnkingcab do you have any pics of your front setup? just to give me ideas, because if I think I can do it i will. I really would like to be able to say I did this.

Update: the Pathgrinder is now powered by a 700 hp twin turbo v6. It took robbing a vg30et for its ecu and heads and manifolds, but the 560hp gain is worth the time finding the parts. And best of all I only dropped 3mpg from 40 hwy to 37. Its not the prettiest of installs so dont ask for pics. I might post some once I get time to clean it all up lol... oh and the turbos are not stock nissans either if anyone wonders. they are injen stage 2s with matching bov's set at 20 psi each. And I cant guarantee they wont blow the heads. I havent done anything to mine except port n polish. but im pretty sure they r gonna need hella bracing.

The idea is cool and all but I personally would not go this route because it robs the engine of power and fuel mileage. And who wants a low n slow ride when you can be low and fast as hell.
