Sealed box design help

I suck at this stuff. My friend just got this sub: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_33743_Rockford-Fosgate-R2D4-10.html

and he listens to lots of alternative and a sealed box seems to fit his listening style the most. Can someone please assist me in designing a sealed enclosure for this sub? I DON'T want to buy a design.....

Just get a box that is 0.75 cubic feet of internal volume like this:

I plan to build one. And what would be the difference in building the box with .75ft^3 compared to .5ft^3? I would love a cut sheet..

You will get a bit deeper bass and reqiure somewhat less power to get loud, so here is a suggestion for the 0.75 cubic feet box:

Enclosure Specifications:

Vgross = 0.748 ft^3

External Height = 15.75 in

External Width = 18 in

External Depth = 7 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

Front & Back = 18 x 15 3/4

Left & Right Sides = 5 1/2 x 14 1/4

Top & Bottom = 18 x 5 1/2

I would go ported for sure if I had the space. Let me know any questions.

Sweet thanks! Yea I'd go ported too but my friend doesn't like loud bass. I miss the deathly kicks of my old sealed box but I like my low tuning

Well I searched a bit and found this:

Have not used those myself, but you can test what it gives against the dimensions I gave you. Again post any questions you may have.
