Jonesy33 Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 I have a dc level 4 10 coming and i wanted to see if I could get a box design. I own a 99 silverado single cab. My max dimentions are height-22in length-57in - i would like for it not to take up the whole thing I need room for my battery bottom depth-8in top depth-4in Thanks

2k2gtp Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Lazie is correct, I have to use 1/2" mdf and a top depth of 5 and bottom of 8 1/2" i believe (its been a while) to fit a lvl 3 10 in my silverado. Its a crew not reg but same problem, very minimal room and thats what i had to do.
Jonesy33 Posted March 3, 2012 Author Report Posted March 3, 2012 Sorry it took me so long I was at work.I could prolly add a half an inch to the bottom I'd that will help. I've put a sub that's been 7 inches deep in my truck before but my knees were in the dash. I'll prolly end up sanding the back down a little. The battery is 12"X6.5"X8.2". I'm not sure what it needs to be tuned at I listen to a lot of rap and also a lot of classic country. I that helps any. Thanks again.
Joe X Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 I checked with 8.5,4.5 depth and won't fit, you NEED a MDF ring to mount the sub (if that fits). Motor width 7.75, Mounting depth 6.25 for the DCL4 10"
Jonesy33 Posted March 3, 2012 Author Report Posted March 3, 2012 What is a ring? Sorry for the noob question
CleanSierra Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 My ported box behind my seat of my Reg cab Sierra('03) is 7" top depth and 10" bottom depth. I've got airspace AFTER port displacing of 2.00 cubes internal. So half of the box length gives 1 cube(which should be spec for that 10) and plenty of room left for a battery. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
