Jonesy33 Posted March 4, 2012 Author Report Posted March 4, 2012 my max hight is 16". Any way it can be a few inches wider and the hight shorter? I like the design what does the inside look like im not familliar with aero ports and how to mount them.

I like the design what does the inside look like im not familliar with aero ports and how to mount them. I will check the height, aeros are very sinple to install, just make a really tight hole for them and glue it, if it is a commercial aero it has locations for screws. I will ask you thought you can't go to a 5 top height, and how wide your box can be? Your main problem is fitting the sub the rest is real easy..
Jonesy33 Posted March 4, 2012 Author Report Posted March 4, 2012 Is the aero port on the outside or inside? On YouTube people have either one installed. Well actually I could get 5.5" on top if we lower the height to 14". My Max width is prolly going to be around 43" with the battery 12"X6.5"X8.2" next to it. I'm going to put a box around my battery also but I don't need a design for that lol.

So I modified the design to 16H with 5" of top depth, if you can do 5.5" 14" you will be ok with this one, you can place the aero port higher if you need to just don't near it to any walls or it will detune. The port is fully inside the box.

When you DO that, you lose the depth you could have had, if you had stayed below the trim panel. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 I run 7" top depth and 10" bottom depth, and you don't need to go NEARLY that extreme for 1 10" DC. The top mount depth on that sub is only 6.25" Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Now that I re measured 16" is impossible to keep a good depth but at 14" I can get 5.5" top depth and that's if if I want my console to come up so I can have a 3rd seat. Sorry for the confusion.
Jonesy33 Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 Ok check this out 1,04 cubic feet net internal @ 36 Hz, aero port length 22": Let me know any questions. Is the 1.04 cubes after displacements? Will it even out if I have it 14 tall and 5.5 as the top depth and the box wider like 40"? Last question so when I buy an aero port I need to get a 4in flared with a 22 in pipe on the inside?
Joe X Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 It's 5.44" at 14" height, and yes if was 1.04 gross volume the design would be faulty, I don't think a flared type port will fit, maybe in the bottom, I would just get PVC pipe and sand the inner edges a bit also see if you can do some low displacement bracing mainly front to back.
