Landon75
so i just purchased a used XS D1200 and i hooked it all up so my question is do theses voltages look alright All measured with a DMM Resting with car off. 12.8-9 idle. 14.1-2 full tilt. 12.5-9 keep in mind i have stock alt and stock batt up front with only 4 gauge cca to the rear batt (the XS) planning on getting some better wire soon and the big 3 done. thanks in advance! SnowDrifter
Looks fine to me. Full tilt voltage could be better - but it's not bad either. I would suggest getting a better battery up front - that's dragging down the performance of the XS battery (stock battery has lower resting voltage) Also: what amp do you have? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
ChevyBoy95
12.8 - 12.9 is perfectly fine for a resting batt, bad is when it gets below 12.5v resting (usually needs a recharge/ reconditioning) 14.1-14.2 is fine also charging full tilt volage in the 12s just means you need more alt/batteries for whatever amperage draw you have.
