Noobtastic14 Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 That is way to much divider. If I were you I'd figure out a way to cut it into a "window brace" with an opening in the middle. You want ALL your drivers to pressurize your ENTIRE box and with that little space between each chamber that port is just not getting the love and attention it needs. -Drew I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Cchavis22 Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 Is there some way u can draw it out or something so I can see it to do it? If u don't mind
Noobtastic14 Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 I dug through all my old sketchup files and found these two showing "window bracing" Yours would only touch three walls instead of the shown four, but you need to open up those chambers somehow. -Drew I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Cchavis22 Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 Ahhhh...Kool man...but ima prolly be better off building another box bc I've been in this one one right?
Noobtastic14 Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Whatever is easiest for you. My only word of caution is that I don't think those dividers are helping your box at all, if anything they are hurting it. Either get them out and figure out new bracing, cut open a window, or try a new box with a different bracing method such as threaded rod, dowel rod, or just make your dividers only 3-4" long rather than 3" off the back off the box. -Drew I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Cchavis22 Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 Ok man ima try it soon and u got a nice set up too...I had 4 cvr 12s with only 2500watts and they hit way harder than these 3 lol...but the box was divided in half and so was the port
Joe X Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Is there some way u can draw it out or something so I can see it to do it? If u don't mind Those drivers need 1.2-1.6 cubic feet per sub driver displacement included, not much more, you don't state the dimensions of the port either. H x W x L .
Cchavis22 Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 Port is 4in wide, 14in long and 14in deep I think
Cchavis22 Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 I had 4 CVR kicker 12s only 800watts man...with 2 1250watt power achustic amp and a custom box I made were 2 subs were on one side and 2 on the other, the port was also divided and it only did a 146...Ik this system I got now is suppose to be a hole lt louder! :/
