Surgaloth Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 this is my first attempt at a vented box the first box i built was a piss-poor excuse for a sealed box, it leaked worse than the titanic, not to mention for really small and didnt even fit the way i wanted it to. right now i am working with a 12" L7 and a 500.5 JL amp. my older brother is the one who got me started in all this and he helped me out with building my last box but i wanted to do this one on my own so i could say i did it. i would really appreciate any input that yall have. so here goes... For my tools i have: a jig saw, circular saw, a caulking gun, and a drill lol wish me luck My current boxi think its some where around 1ft3 haha, it was supposed to be upside down and down firing but it didnt fit >.< once I'm done with my new box I'm burning that one, and heres what I'm going for now. well it turns out i cant cut for shit cause my boards are off a good bit, but I'll fill it in with caulking when the time comes. thats all for tonight let me know what you guys think!! Surgaloth Posted March 7, 2012 Author Report Posted March 7, 2012 ok well yesterday i cut the sides and screwed them on and also decided i would rhino line the box inside and out because line-x is of the devil. and that opinion doesnt come from the fact that my dad owns a rhino lining shop...
