iceman1575 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Let's try this again I just got a prefab (bleck ) for under the seat of a 2001 Silverado. Couple things... 1. I'm going to be running my AQ SDC2.5 12's in them slightly overpowered. The box is 2.85 cubes, so being overpowered there shouldn't be a problem with how they sound as long as I don't melt the coils? 2. Would it be a bad idea to mod the box with aeroports? I already did the measurements in BTC and figured out how big I would need and the appropriate specs, but didn't know if it would be a better idea to build my own & make it ported... Comments, thoughts, suggestions? Unfortunately, this box is my only option May go down to 10's if funds allow POTATO!

Loslam Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 I supposed you could cut a circle and add an aeroport but it doesn't look like you have any room to have port length. I'd make a new box. You could fiberglass the bottom of the box to match your truck's figure under the seat, giving you max volume.
