Can someone please help me with a sealed box for 1 SA 10

Recommended Posts

Go with Ported if you can. I run mine in 1.5cu ft. per sub ported. If you go sealed a one cu.ft. box would be fine.

Ok

I've never built a box before so I figure with some help from you guys I could do it. Can anyone please give me the dimensions of the cuts I'd need to make it cux I wanna give my girl a lil setup :)

Enclosure Specifications:

Vb = 0.5 ft^3

External Height = 11 in

External Width = 11 in

External Depth = 13 in

Cut List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

Front & Back = 11 x 11

Left & Right Sides = 11 1/2 x 9 1/2

Top & Bottom = 11 x 11 1/2

This is Sundown's recommendation, I don't like it, neither the idea of sealed, as mentioned you should go for a ported enclosure.

Sure, take a look:

Vb = 1.24 ft^3

External Height = 12 in

External Width = 24.5 in

External Depth = 14 in

Port Width = 1 3/4 in

Cut List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

Front = 22 x 10 1/2

Back = 24 1/2 x 10 1/2

Left & Right Sides:

Side 1 = 12 1/2 x 10 1/2

Side 2 = 13 1/4 x 10 1/2

Top & Bottom = 24 1/2 x 14

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 11 5/8 x 10 1/2

Extension = 13 9/16 x 10 1/2

I chose dims that fit most of the times, best for trunk/hatchback vehicles. Again this is based in Sundown spec Much better than the sealed.

I'd listen to everyone about going ported. Me and my friend just built a box for 2 E8 v2's that was sealed because he has absolutely no room in the back of his F150 and it was all we can fit and he likes the way it sounds but it could be much louder. The box is just too small for the subs, I almost feel bad for them haha good luck with your build!

Heres a pic to show how much this box is we made because of the space issue, I'm honestly not even sure how much cu.ft it is haha first box we've ever built
