I can't use torres calculator cus I have a gay mac. The following specs were designed on RE Audios box calculator. The sub is an RE Audio XXX 15. For the moment an RE Audio XT4000de version 3 pushing rated 1600 wrms to it. (will be upgrading amps in the future to give the sub the power it wants) Sub displacement is .27 cubes. This is going in a new beetle lol with deleted back seat and will be upfiring. The only spec that is abolute is the box width of 41". I would like to keep the depth( front of car to back of car) at 19 " or less and the height (bottom to top) around the 19" mark or less. I roughly kept it to 15 inches squared per cube for pert area. This is my first box design so be gentle lol. Here Are the specs. I dont know if the RE calculator takes in consideration woofer displacement in the overall volume and tuning? Like i said the sub displacement of thee xxx15 is .27 so with these calculations the box is just slightly over (.156 cubes) than the 4 cubes RE says. So if all you Gurus could help me out, see if the torres says approx the same, see if my tuning and volume are good, and also if the port size is good (hopefully not noisy). 1.5" mdf isn't that cheap lol (might just laminate two pieces of .75) any drawbacks to that???. I only want to build this box once haha.
