Currently I am working with an Alpine CDA-9886 (getting a little old), MB Quart PVI 216 components (yuck), boston 4x6 plates, Jl Audio j2 320.4 highs amp, 2 JL Audio 12w1v2 subs (had to shelve my 12w6v1's due to the small box space) in an Atrend 152 bedliner sprayed box and a TMA 500.1 class A/B monoblock. So it isn't much... I have now came up with the idea of deleting the backseat entirely and going with like a half wall. I still need a place to put one person and our luggage for overnight trips (I am an engineer and have to travel). So I am thinking 4 12' Fi SQ's in a ported box tuned to 28-30HZ... and 2 rockford bd 2500's. As far as high's go.. I am looking into CDT components currently and thinking 2 sets up front and the upstage kit and possibly 3 of their 6.5 sub/midbasses in a custom ported enclosure in the door... Probably going to stick to rockford power here too (more than likely 2 x RF T1000-4ad)... Thinking about an Alpine IWA-910 head deck with the imprint processor (yeah I know... but hey I would like a shot at awesome SQ and then be able to kick it in the pants) Do you have any ideas or recommendations? I currently live in Lexington, KY and I know I can't build the box myself. In anticipation I have upgraded my alternator to a custom built 305 amp version and redone all my power cabling. Currently I have a very overkill double aut system going into the cab which is reduced at the amps to 4 gauge. (fuse block) I dug out my four jacobs accuvolts as well but have not installed them yet. Anyone have any suggestions for the truck in general? I want Sound Quality and hair tricks... I know, right? I drive almost every week out of the year sometimes up to 450 miles away from home and my system is a lot of the time my only companion.

I'll be the first to say, welcome to the forum, & I'll have to come check it out when it's done. (I live in Ashland near the WV border). I'm in the same dilemma, except I'm going to be keeping my backseat, so plans are up in the air. Right now I'm doing 2 12's, probably going to play with box layout. Let me know what you come up with as far as mids/highs. I'm wanting to do 4 sets of 6.5 comp's (1 in each A/B pillar, & 1 in each door.) POTATO!

I would do either four 12"s or three 15"s if you're going halfwalled. Although hair tricks on low power isn't the way I would go. Can always do an actual wall with eight 12"s on 5,000 watts. Box posted was a box for three 15" BTLs on three RF T4000s before I did a full wall. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
