Joe X
so, I had this box idea all done had it the way I wanted it and then made a ROOKIE mistake.... forgot to incorperate the Sub Displacement in the whole Equation...................................................... So heres what im working with, If someone wants to send me some measurements or a pic/measurements of what im needing that'd be great! Heres My Maxes 34" W 18.5" H 20" D 2x 15" American Bass DX15s Sub Displacement 6.824 Each Want it Tuned to ~35Hz Im building this box a certain way for a certain reason (it will be used in a boat and xcab truck) The 2 subs on the 34" x 18.5" face and the port is going to come out the side the 18.5" x 20" part (this is so I can lay the box on its back in the boat have the subs facing skyward and the port firing into the boat) You need about 3.5 cubic feet net internal airspace per sub, that box would fit 2 12" subs much better. Neal82
Well I did find another site with air space specs on these and it said Min ported was 2³ each Max was 4³ ea so it CAN be done and I REALLY dont wanna build 2 boxes.... I do have room in either vehicle to make it longer (wider) maybe ill hafta do that.... Neal82
Do u think 3 3/4" port width is going to move enough air? Loslam
it's the area that matters not the width. it is on the low side but with those dimensions that's about the best you get Quote 1997 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab, 350 Vortec Things to come at some point...
