daniel1204
I currently have a saz-2500d and 4 12's I'm not keen of the .5 ohm option my subs can only take 2000w rms together they would be killed at .5 ,so what power would I expect at 1.3ohms to 6 12's?? It sounds like a good idea to me I'll have an extra batt big 3 and a mechman 220A alt any more info you guys need? I'm curious Quote I Am Never Wrong, Just Often Mistaken...... Real96SS
I would run the 4 at .5 first. Make sure you set your gains with an O-scope or DD-1. Reason I say run the 4 is if you clamp that amp and figure your box rise you wont be seeing 2500 watts unless you have the perfect setup with little to no box rise. Also the amount of power you can put on subs goes hand in hand with the size and type of box you have. The bigger the box the less power you need and the smaller the box the more power they can handle. How big is your box and are you able to clamp your amp? daniel1204
Sonic wired at .5 it Wouldent see a .5 load more like 1-1.5 ish and also it would be at 2 ohms most of the time just .5 for fun times and demos, butnindiddent box rise was that bad. 99fullsizechevy
Dude, be respecful of the equipment bein used, keep an eye and things and run at .5 /thread P.S. If your mangina hurts at the thought, you can simply sell the saz and grab two 1500w amps and strap them together, after rise you would be closer to the 2k mark than the 3k mark.. Jus sayin Edited March 19, 2012 by 99fullsizechevy Quote Laying frame soon.. System has to wait
daniel1204
Or I could run the amp safe and underpower 6 subs rather than risk killing the amp and over powering 4 subs, I Quote I Am Never Wrong, Just Often Mistaken......
Purplehaze
Or I could run the amp safe and underpower 6 subs rather than risk killing the amp and over powering 4 subs, I Sounds like your mind is already made up.... I personally would run the 4 at .5, but that's just me.... Good luck and let us know how it all plays out! Real96SS
We could go on for days with the ORs.So again its your equipment and you have many options. You can save space and wire it to .5ohms and like Chevy said be respectful of the equipment or you can play it safe and lose space doing 6 subs.Either way your call and your money so you decide with the info that we have given you.All the info you need is above if you paid attention.
