SlamminBeats
So is there a special spray i need to use on the metal before applying? Also, my doors have a thin layer of foam that covers the bare metal of the door frame, is it ok to keep it there? or should i remove it. Mr.JaunDurfle
Denatured alcohol. Spray on, wipe off to clean the metal. Yes get rid of the foam. Metal is what you want it to adhere to. SlamminBeats
i would put it on the metal, then put the layer of foam back over it, it has to be there for a reason..
skittlesRgood
you can leave the foam there as long as it can go on top of the SS. im assuming you are using damplifier? there is no special spray you need. you should clean the panel though because it will be full of dust. personally, ive always just wiped down the panel with towels and that seems to have been enough. its the laziest way you could clean a panel though. Also, how much would i need to do the back of my hatch 2-3 times? its not really that big of an area
skittlesRgood
you dont need 2-3 layers of damp pro on your hatch. Decaf
I used about 7sqft of AT per door so that should be enough (saturn) tightening the latch that holds the trunk made a major improvement with my car. it improved the stock weather seal and reduce a ton of vibration. then i filled in with great stuff so no air leaks out of the trunk lid... then 2 layers of 60mil AT deadner
