DD Z12 box size

I picked up this sub ages ago and was running it in a 4.5cft box tuned to 42hz and it got really loud for the size of the box. But wondering if i was to put it in a slightly smaller box tuned to i think it was 38hz and is just under 4cft. Would be any better ? cause i know the 4.5cft box was a fuck load to big for it and was wrecking it lol.

Give me some max dims, vehicle and type of music you play and I can give you a re-design looking at the specs you cartainly make it smaller.
