XtremeSPL-SCAMMER Posted December 15, 2007 Report Share Posted December 15, 2007 i well i would measure to see because the local lowes in gulfport sells 3/4" mdf that 49"x97" i built a 3.5 cuft enclosure with plenty to spare always buy extra... if you want it to be kinda fancy buy 2 sheets. the box i am going to build is a dual 15 ported box. and it is going to have 2 layers on it, so the subs are flush with the outside peice.. same with the top for the ports.. also depending on size.. like mine is going to be roughly 48 long 30" width 20 "high for example.. and with those measurements i will need 2 sheets of MDF 3/4" to build that box. so. depending on what you want and you want it to turn out. i am also going to have 4 4" ports that go like 10 1/4 inches deep. the box is rated in the 30 hz range.
