Hifonicsmax1 Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 So I have 2 Optoma Red Tops connect using 1/0AWG Kicker Wire with 2 inline 300Amp fuses. The second battery will have 2xHifonics Brutus 2200RMS Mono Amps and 1 MB Quart 4125 1000W Multichannel. So with roughly 5kRMS, should I run 1 or 2 1/0AWG wires back to the second battery. My Alternator is a Mechman 270amp alternator and the length of the wire is about 13feet. I've been wondering this for some time. Click for My Current Build

Hifonicsmax1 Posted March 26, 2012 Author Report Posted March 26, 2012 Thanks for the fast response. I'm using the red tops because it's what I already had. It still gives me 50AH which is all I needed to reach 5000Watts with my alternator and 2 batteries. I'm not sure if I have enough wire to run 3 wires to the back, would you think that would be necessary over using 2. I can always try to save up to run 1 more. I just want to make sure I do this now before its more work later. Click for My Current Build

Since I already have 2 kicker fuse holders I might as well get 2 more of the same if I'm going to get 2 more. Just sucks they are $25 a piece. Click for My Current Build
