Frameless Windows

Recommended Posts

So I did my first db drag and scored a 141.6 legal today with equipment in the sig (got first in my class).

Afterwards, i got to thinking of ways I could boost my score, then i looked at my windows in the Subaru Outback and they're frameless..

Am I experiencing a large output loss? Any ways I could seal them up better?

Can't see sigs, but...shave em and find out.

Explain what you mean by "shave them"..

At the level of 140-150 dB, you will not see a difference or not much anyway with your frameless windows.

Things like that dont matter until you get into the mid 150s and up.

Best ways to get louder at that level is keep playing with enclosures and adding power.

Yeah i was thinking about that too. I don't think they leak to much air, they just move a TON. I'll just stop worrying about it :drink40:

Get a buddy or spectators to push on the windows, back windows definately, front may lose or gain depending on drivers or passenger side. Any gains would still be trivial compared to working on your box.

I did notice front door skins flex a bit on these, maybe while they're pushing on the window, bracing the door skin with leg might gain a couple tenths?
