Parentnoia
i think those trucks have a recall about catching fire, one of my friends had a house burn down from the truck, something about static builds up in the fuel system Know any way to prevent that just in case? Also, it wouldnt be in the garage, it'll be parked in to street. This is going to be the first car I've ever had input into buying. Our last car that crapped out on us was bought for graduation and the only person that even knew I was getting it was the person who got it for me. Needless to say, not too many people were fond of that decision. Quote 1999 GMC Suburban SLTNo system planned just yet. Look at "hate" spelled backwards. It spells "e-tah." bass_stalker
well like i said i'm not sure what year that happens on and if there is a recall about it, i would guess you would have to secure any fuel lines from rubbing on anything plastic or anything that could create static. Parentnoia
Was looking around again and was wondering if this: http://austin.craigslist.org/cto/2898339300.html would be a deal. It's $600 cheaper and the only issue is the driver window, which shouldnt be too expensive, I think. I looked around the internet and it seems very reliable. Plus it's 4WD, which is a huge plus for me. And I can make due without the bed space. It's still more cargo space than a Ford Escort. Quote 1999 GMC Suburban SLTNo system planned just yet. bass_stalker
may wanna watch since the engine has been replaced, but if its been replaced with a 350 v8 it should be pretty dependable Quote JEEP BUILD PROJECT ANTIBLING.2000 jeep Cherokee.HEADUNITAlpine Cda-9886SUBSTAGE1 acendent 18" audio mayhem motor with a TI basket and tantric parts1 prototype DAT hellfire 1000.1HIGHSStockELECTRICALdb link 0 gaugeKnuconceptz Kolossus 4 gauge1 xs power d3400 under hoodBig 3 upgradeold fourwheeler build The only way to delete your SMD account is for you crawl to steve meades door step on your knees and pleade for his forgiveness and acceptance to be released...He will either grant your wishes.....or choke you with a large piece of 0 gauge and electrocute you by hooking up a solid gold DC 12k at 0.000001 ohm and 10000 volts to your eye sockets and blow your head apart You guys act like you have never clogged a toilet and ran around the bathroom frantically hoping it don't overflow. Parentnoia
What else would it have been replaced with that would make it unreliable? Parentnoia
How much might it cost to check that? Sorry if I sound kinda stupid but I'm under the impression that an engine wouldnt fit and work for 37k if something was wrong. Quote 1999 GMC Suburban SLTNo system planned just yet. Anyhow, after hitting 135,000 i started having problems such as, catty clogged up with bullshit, bad water pump, radiator blew after coming back from canada ( got lucky) but these are simple things a person can fix no big deal, minor check engine lights possibly 2-3 times a year from 2010-2011ish 145,000 -153,000 runs still good, little problems such as replacement of shocks ( NEVER BEEN REPLACED SINCE IT WAS BORN, not my truck i know i got it when it only had 128,000), minor squeaks, tranny still kicking Just make sure you maintain it, replace coolant 1-2 a year that's what i do, high milage for oil change, tranny fluid, check the gaskets for oil pan, tranny etc Quote build coming late April, early May build log for 1 LVL 5 18" 87%ish done : http://www.stevemead...ab-dc-lvl-5-18/ 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Slt Laramie Amplifier - AQ3500d.1 Sub - DC LVL 5 18" Highs - (2x) Selenium ST-350 Super Tweeters 8ohm Mids - Selenium 6" 200w midrange 6W4P (pair) Mids/Highs Amp - MB Quart ONX4.125 1000watt 4 ch Wiring - XP Flex 25' Red, 25' Black Alternator - Mechman 270amp Battery - XS power D3100, 1- Yellow top front more to come...
