how do i hook these rcas up

ok so my sister baught a amp --> http://www.sonicelec...ASA-700.5X.html and i was wondering how do i hook up the fifth chan (sub) if it only has a white rca plug not both red and white.

do i get an adapter so it turns into 1? or only plug in the white

2 female to 1 male splitter would be the ideal thing to do from the looks of the pic.

Maybe i'm wrong but wouldn't that adapter combine left and right rca's into one? Wouldn't that be the same as crossing two positives together? I don't think that would work, wouldnt he need the opposite and only split one channel into two? I know that would mean he would only get left or right on the fifth channel but i can't see how it would work the other way.

Ideally you'd want a device that "sums" the two channels together.

A splitter will work but you could possibly get issues with both channels tied together.

Example: if one channel goes high and the other is low then you could have one channel conducting into the other...

Depends if your HU can handle it.
