essentially a sealed box inside a ported box.

you tune them around upper 40s to mid 50s and they will play a bandwidth extremely well when designed right and do it loudly on low power. but anything not in the bandwidth usually falls off quick.

If you can't set your SSF on that amp, which it doesn't look like you can, I'd buy a new amp.

Yes an epicenter will work as long as it has a subsonic filter on it like the Soundstream bx-10 for example. That epicenter will just filter the signal before it even reaches the amp rendering the amps subsonic filter usless unless you turn the epicenter's down below what is pre-set on the amp.
