doodcody
hey guys, im running a crescendo 5500.. so far i have a stock battery and 2 xp3000's.. would it be better to add another xp3000 and leave the stock battery or just keep two xp3000's and replace the stock battery.. im not really sure how the charging works with two brand new batteries and one used.. any help is gladly appreciated. also i am wondering what you guys do with the stock electrical when adding the big 3 and such( just trying to get an idea of what i need to request from tool maker)
getlocivic
really gotta ask questions like that when you own a "crescendo 5500"// the stock battery has a lower resting voltage than the xs batts do in its actually bringing your xs batteries down and big 3 is simple.. shouldve already done this tho if you own a 5500
doodcody
i do own one just dont have it installed, and im not doing the big 3 until i order my parts from toolmaker, i am not an idiot which is why im asking the question, absolutely nothing will be installed until i have everything answered. as for your response to the big 3 telling me its easy to do does nothing for me, i didnt ask if it was easy i asked what the best way to relocate the stock eletrical (i.e. accesories) without cutting the existing wire. doodcody
05 explorer.. already have a 270 amp alt from mechman installed, running two runs of pos. and neg. Once i get it installed ill keep an eye on the voltage and add what i need.. i would rather add one more battery and then make the move to a dual alt if needed. NightmareImpala
no need to relocate the stock electrical. Just add your 1/0 on top of the existing stock electrical making sure you have nice clean grounds of course lol. Also IMO I would replace your battery up front with the biggest AGM battery you can fit . You dont wanna mix different battery types together.
