Sub flex question

Go easy on me for asking this.Some of the vids I've seen on subs on builds.Show the subs waving like water in a fish tank.Are the subs really moving like that or is the camera lens flexing making it look like the subs are wobbly.I just thought that subs could only move up and down if the spiders aren't broken.Thanks for any info that could clear this question of physical physics up for me.

it is an illusion that you see because the camera cant capture at the speed the sub is moving. that is why in some videos with better cameras the sub looks normal where as in others it "wavy" notice it changes as frequency of note changes

I've noticed that on some vids too, I think it has something to do with the frame rate of the camera not being able to pick up the movement accurately

in addition to the frames per second that the camera can/ cant capture some subs get extra wavy which means they are made of the jelly like material emmet describes as "high grade jelly"
