I'm wondering if I will need to get a battery since I have 0 ways of checking my voltage. Vehicle is 97 dodge dakota 5.2L magnum. Im not sure but I believe it has a 120 or 140 amp alt. not sure about battery under hood. Its tucked behind to much crap to un bolt it and get it out to find it right now. But will I need a second battery with this set up? And not enough money to go to 0 awg wire. 2awg is about al I can get. Our would it be a wise choice to step down to a brutus1200? Ugh this build is going to kill me... Ugh this build is going to kill me... battery is cheaper than the 0 gauge. i suppose you can go with the lower watt amp, but why not just save for a smaller battery (bigger than current but for smaller the brands out there) and get a win win.
