RAGU408 Posted April 18, 2012 Report Share Posted April 18, 2012 alright so recently i was driving to work an all of a sudden it felt like i lost control of the steering i had to have the steering wheel turned all the way to the left the keep the wheel on the passenger side straight an the other wheel was like burning tire so i immediately turned around an an drove back home since i was only a few blocks away but on the way back i stop at a stop an you hear a crack an my car stops starts shaking real bad i get out the car an my passenger side wheel looks like a butterfly like this pic http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s200/alvisonero408/Tires001.jpg and the driver side wheel is straighthttp://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s200/alvisonero408/Tires002.jpg i look under the car an the passenger side cv axle is broken an theirs a lil bit of oil on the floor so i tow the car home an go out to oreilys an buy a new cv axle i replace it with the old one turn the car on put it in drive an drive a couple feet in my driveway an BAM! once againg my car stops an starts shaking all crazy an the cv axle popped out again but didnt break an once again my car looks like this http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s200/alvisonero408/Tires003.jpg driver side is turned straight an passenger side is to the right in a butterfly position what could possibly be wrong with this car did something else mess up? if anybody out their has any suggestions or help please let me know. oh an the car is a 1990 HONDA ACCORD EX automatic transmission front wheel drive. weshole Posted April 18, 2012 Report Share Posted April 18, 2012 (edited) Looks to me like you broke a tie rod end. Probably passenger outer. get it towed to a shop to have it replaced and realigned. RAGU408 Posted April 18, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 18, 2012 yea im low on money so that's what im trying to avoid is going to a shop. i could probably have some one fix the tie rod end or the passenger outer but i know eventually ill have to go to a shop to get an realinged the funny thing is i just did an allingment in november of last year. weshole Posted April 18, 2012 Report Share Posted April 18, 2012 Typically, if it was the lower ball joint, it would be all cambered in at the top and kicked out at the bottom.
