mrd6
looking great!!! Thanks! Any pics of the actual box construction? Pretty cool design. I was taking the construction pics with my girlfriends camera at the time and she accidentally deleted them before I could get them on my computer so most of them are gone. There is one picture hiding on Facebook tho I believe, so i've been looking for that... mrd6
Still havent been able to find more pictures of the box construction but...the Hifonics has been pulled and the Sundown has gone in. Worked into the night to get this done. Sitting here after being screwed into the cover plate about to go into its spot in the false floor you can se the cut out in the false floor where this will be mounted in And now flipped over and put into place. Amp guts on display Matching amp cover plate and wall front. Still no beauty panel in place though. That is not the final positioning of the box wall and amp...ill have a few pictures of that to put up in a bit if people are interested haha My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL

mrd6
Holy port area man! Loving the look of the box and the way you did the amp. Great looking build. I appreciate it! Its 200sq inches, i don't think its that ridiculous but it is nice and efficient looks real nice...like the port holes to peek at the guts! I've always liked the look of amp guts more than the amp cases so i figured why not show it off a bit lol. I am considering putting red LEDs in there to light the guts up at night but I dont want it to look too ricey...we will see My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL

mrd6
Door pods for these guys Making a template for the general shape of the pod from the door panel transferring them over to some of that pink styrofoam stuff cut out the foam and started to add pieces and shape it to get ready for resin and glass More foam went on after ^this picture was taken and then the foam parts were wrapped with plastic wrap so the resin and glass wouldn't stick to it. Then stretched the cloth and here is how they looked after the first resin layer. No glass yet. mrd6
And after countless hours of glassing glassing glassing sanding glassing sanding bondo sanding bondo sanding bondo sanding primer truck bed liner.... They are completely sealed and very solid. I have them loosely stuffed and they sound amazing. They are crossed over at 50hz right now at 18db/oct for mechanical reasons on high volume, but with no filter they play down to 40hz with authority for their size in a sealed alignment.
