  1. I found out it's the older style basket. I'm still weighing my options.
  2. Yea I didnt think about that. I agree try to get some money on it first. OP have you tried posting your stuff on craigslist. I had some guy drive 3+hours and give me almost what I paid for my BRZ and Sa-12. That's where I'm doing this deal from. From his pics, it doesn't even look like a AQ woofer. The basket and motor look completely different.
  3. I should get get the 18 and then try and trade it for some SA-8v.2's lol.
  4. That sounds like an amazing plan. Funny thing is, is that I was trying to sell all of that stuff to save up for more of a SQ type build. I'm now offically torn. Crap.
  5. Ok quick question. Dude wants to trade me his AQ HDC3 18" woofer with PSI Softparts, claims it takes 3000rms, for my Sundown SA-12, prefab box, and Hifonics BRZ1200.1. What would you do?
  6. I really need to start a new build. Money! Y U NO GROW ON TREES??

  7. Duh! I love that build! It came out looking really good man. And thanks for the input!
  8. Do you possibly have pics or a link to said box?
  9. Cleaner sound, more dynamic music, notes more pronounced, harder hitting while enjoying the music and NOT be obnoxious ... easier to tune lower and play the higher notes with less effort ... man, this list goes on ... Looks like I need to start doing some research then lol. Thanks for the tips!!
  10. I see what you're saying. Are there any other advantages to having an isoberic setup other than loudness? Would it sound just as good if they weren't setup in an isoberic way? I'm can't wrap my head around how to build an isoberic enclosure or how to wire the subs up. Also, i'm not really looking for big noise at all, just want some "punch" to the music. Ya know?
  11. Why's that? P.S. I friggin love your truck. Out of just about every vehicle on here, yours is in my top 3 to listen to at some point in my life.
  12. Hahaha I know what you're saying. I guess I wasn't very clear at all. Let's see...2 woofers, I have a Hifonics BRZ1200.1 for them, not sure on enclosure but it would be built to specs, tuned to probably 30hz, I listen to just about everything EXCEPT rap, don't care about numbers or making people cover their ears when they play..... and I'm gonna hope its a bright, sunny day when I buy them.
  13. Not straight SQ lol. I would be WAY in over my head to try and get into that lol. Basically what I'm asking is, is it a musical sub? Or is it just loud?
  14. Would anyone recommend a couple of SA-8's for a SQL build? I'm not worried about being the loudest dude around but I would like a nice sounding beat in my rig. Build won't happen for a while but I'm just trying to get a product list together before I do anything. Or does anyone completely advise against it? If so, would you recommend anything? Thanks in advance!
  15. Level 2 10 and Level 3 10 to 72762? Thanks in advance!
  16. I wish I could make it! Just to check out the rides there. But it's a 4 hour trip and I'll have a newborn here by that time lol.
  17. Looks good man! All I would say to do is clean up the wires, but you know that already lol. Looking forward to the 4th order!
  18. X2 I'm just trying to save your woofer and if you get a different for your speakers then the DD-1 will help with that also.
  19. They are actually on amazon now. Check it out. http://www.amazon.co...rds=smd+dd1+cc1
  20. Nah don't turn your gain all the way down. Just your bass boost. I would look into getting a DD-1 so you can set your gains properly and not have any distortion. Totally worth the money in the long run.
  21. First off, fix your gain and bass boost settings. Turn them down. If you go long with those settings you're going to fry your sub very quickly. My bad, didn't read correctly. I would check all of your wires. Make sure the positives are going to the positives and vice versa.
