focalrock4life
Just pulled the trigger on a BCM 14.5" Lightweight Profile Hammer Forged Barrel. For my application this is the absolute BEST of all worlds: Midlength, hammer forged, shorter length and weight removed from the handguard area allowing for easier snapping from target to target as well as saving 6 oz overall weight which comes in handy during 8 hr long carbine class days. Not to mention the balance point of the rifle shifting close in to the shooter. http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-BFH-14-5-Mid-Length-LW-Barrel-Stripped-p/bcm-brl-s-mid-14lw%20bfh.htm I also got my Ambidextrous safety selector in the mail today and installed. Much nicer than the stock. Long on one side stubby on the other with a aggressive grip texture. Strong Side: Weak Side:

focalrock4life
here's a video for you guys. This is The VTAC 1-5 Drill I was doing today. First time I've shot this rifle. drill was conducted as follows 15 rndn from 10 yards using Iron sights. 1st target: 1 rnd 2nd target: 2 rnd 3rd target: 3 rnds 2nd target: 4 rnds 1st target: 5 rnds it was just a hair under 4 seconds around 3.9ish. I could have gone faster but I was keeping them all in a group I could cover with my Hand COM. Put your hand over center of your chest and see how devastating that would be. The reasoning behind this drill as I understand it is to get people out of the double tap mind set. Chances are the BG isn't going down after one or two shots, so shoot until the threat has ended. Many people can shoot double taps accurrately but not so many shooting 4-5 shot strings.
LT.Smoke
How old are you focal?? That is an interesting grip you have on the front foregrip as well... Never seen someone do the overhand... Does that help with muzzle flip or something? Never seen someone do the overhand... Does that help with muzzle flip or something? I'm 24. It's not really over hand, my thumb just wraps around the top. Imagine making a "C" with your hand. It's so I can snap the gun quicker than traditional holds. After I got home from the range, my handstops came from IWC. I'll post pics here in a few hrs after I get home from work. focalrock4life
Its actually very common now the vertical grips get in the way a lot so its not always practical I don't use a vertical grip, but a 1.75" hand stop. So theres nothing to get in the way
