Ran into a problem with the router...ended up over cutting the speaker cut out by 1/2" so I had to throw the flush mount in the back and use MDF to fix the problem...but overall it looks good and sounds bad ass. Inside is all fiber glassed...went a little wild with the resin. I have to fiberglass the outer edge of the box to eliminate the space...but I'm going to do that in a week. New build coming soon. Long story short...I grabbed the wrong measurements from my computer and did it all wrong. Depth was suppose to be 21"...by time I realized it was too late and we had all the cut outs and no spare birchwood. I'll fix it later when I get around to making my new box. New build coming soon. will77530 Posted May 13, 2012 Report Share Posted May 13, 2012 While you may not like the look of carpet, consider the amount of time and prep work needed to paint MDF. It's easy to paint it and have even the nicest boxes look like ass, because it wasn't prepped correctly.
