What happened is I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology... but it's a full fledged 4 year bachelors degree, the "Technology" part throws people off. I was hired there with the expectation of doing engineering work. It turns out my boss ultimately wants me "pushing buttons" as a process tech (machine operator) So I'm pissed about that.
