Omega5002
Thanks man, and you're right, it can only get better for here, I have bigger plans in store when the funds get acquired (which is right now slowly till my job calls me back(outta projects atm)). I do remember being tempted to get stuff from Best Buy, but the knowing the fact that every thing was too expensive for me to get there, I ended up looking in a pawn shop, got the Kicker sub there for $60, got the cheap monoblock from amazon, $40 amp install kit from ebay, but was dumb enough to buy a $40 prefab, but with the prefab being destroyed in coolant, I made the right move of building a much better box, and it brought me here now. I don't have a big budget as everyone else here, but I try to make the best of what I have. Though right now, I'm saving up a little for the 4 channel I want(I have the money for the amp, but the wiring and few other things I need are holding me back), and also waiting to see what Singer can offer on a rebuilt stock alt, so also waiting for that too to see if he can offer a good deal, though the choice of either better sound mids/highs or no voltage drop is a hard one. Oh well, I'll have to wait and see. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)

You can get 85 watts times 4 for 50 bucks on craigslist at least I did! and for anything else let me know I get discounts-cost prices on almost ever brand except dc lol and cresendo. Omega5002
So, I have some bad news, when I decided to rewire and reinstall my amp last friday, which made me work from 4pm to 10pm and I wanted it done already cause it was dark, and I was tired since I have a habit of working nonstop so I can finish, so it came out like this Then this happened And after blowing 3 sets of fuses, I finally to came discover I had the ground and power in the wrong inputs by mistake, and that unfortunately, led to my MB Quart to fry, and is no longer operational. So I've learned an important lesson here, whenever I do anything major, I can never rush anything, and next time, before connecting anything, I double check, and make sure everything is ready to go, because I lost an amp because of not making sure everything is correct. So, after that, I decided to go to the pawn shop, and I picked this up for a very good price a Kenwood KAC-9104D, which I'm gonna run at 2 ohms, and since it's apparently 900 rms, though I think it's 700 rms due to 60 amps of fusing on 12v, gonna have to be extra careful with my cvr, and good thing I have a dd-1 as well for a clean signal. So here's a few pics Going to install it on Friday with the help of my friend so he makes sure I don't mess anything up, and I'm gonna go to a local show on Saturday for fun, and see how my car meters again. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
dog24fret
Wow that's a hard lesson to learn. I have seen just a strand from the positive and negative short out and make a mess lol. Glad the car came out good. Cowboy Escort GrAnny ThUmper The Burp
Omega5002
Yeah, really sucks that outta all the things I could mess up on, is was the ground and power wire inputs with the wrong wires. Well, hopefully this Kenwood treats me well over the MB Quart, I can say it's an upgrade, though I have to wait for my ring terminals to get here so I can solder them to the current power and ground wire since the amp has an older style terminal, which I like better, and good thing my wiring is perfect for the amp being 4 gauge, and having a 60 amp agu fuse, so basically just an amp swap. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)

Omega5002
I've seen a few setup with Kenwood amps before, they do pretty good, though I know they make awesome headunits, and made of the best home theater amps back in the day, but let see how this amp performs overall. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
