I just bought an 03 tahoe and I want to put 4 aq hdc3 15s or 18s depending on what I can fit. I want to build a box with subs up and port back. I will be running them off 2 aq2200's. Does anyone know what these subs like to be tuned to and how much airspace the 15s and 18s would need? And I can also pay for a complete box design via PayPal for someone with experience with these subs. I have never built a sub up port back box. Thanks for all the help everyone! IndianaBassHead Posted May 2, 2012 Author Report Share Posted May 2, 2012 I've decided that I'm going with the 4 15's. What I need to know is the ideal gross and net size for the box. The absolute most I can squeeze out of my trunk would be 26 cu ft gross. I'm honestly not sure about how to find net ft after port displacement. Also, what do these subs like to be tuned to? from what I've read, they like around 36 hz. But with the demoing I want to do, I'm not sure if it will be able to play the lows that I want for hair tricks and things like that. I'm still completely lost on the sub up / port back box building. Also, has anyone used fixmyspeaker's enclosure design service?
